From terrace to Absinthbar — welcome to Appelmans
Take a seat on our terrace, right in the shade of Antwerp’s Cathedral of Our Lady. The perfect spot for an aperitif, a refreshing beer, a cocktail or simply a delicious bite.
For more than 20 years, we’ve been a familiar face in the heart of Antwerp’s historic city centre. And there’s plenty to discover inside as well. Our restaurant is air-conditioned, so you can enjoy a comfortable meal even on the hottest days. When temperatures rise, we close our large wooden doors and create a cool, welcoming and authentic setting where you can enjoy our extensive selection of food & drinks. Or pull up a chair at our legendary Absinthbar. That’s where our bartenders put on a little show while serving up the perfect cocktail, a great glass of wine or a refreshing beer.
We also have plenty of space for groups. With two spacious mezzanines and a private bar, we can welcome groups of up to 180 guests — perfect for parties, dinners, receptions and all kinds of celebrations.

* Lunch also available from 12pm on weekends.
* Closed on Mondays — even we need a little rest. 😉
