Dimitri Proost opens RAION, a Japanese omakase, in Antwerp. 🥢
Dimitri Proost was only 22 when he opened his first restaurant in 2016. The very young culinary talent brought an innovative interpretation of Japanese cuisine. He fell in love with the Japanese cuisine after several trips and internships in the land of the traveling sun. He dreamed about combining that pure simplicity with what he had learned. And that did not go unnoticed by any connoisseur. On his own, on a small induction stove, he cooked dishes that moved you and blew you away. In the summer of 2018, after two successful years and an excellent score in culinary guides Michelin and Gault&Millau, the Antwerp native left his restaurant. Almost three years later, he is back.
Dimitri is not just opening one new restaurant, but two. Both inspired by his fascination with Japanese cuisine. But each with a different angle. With RAION, he will open a gastronomic restaurant in the Lange Lozanastraat later this year. But in anticipation of that, he decided to start up a Japanese street-food bar RAIONNOKO in Sint-Andries.
We work with two takeaway boxes, a RAIONNOKO box and a RAION box. In our RAIONNOKO box, you find Japanese streetfood dishes to share, like tempura, noodles and sushi.
The RAION box consists of small, luxurious dishes that you enjoy together, such as nigiri sushi or a Japanese waygu curry.
You can order the takeaway boxes of both RAION and the RAIONNOKO from Thursday to Sunday, 24 hours in advance. Check the menus online. They change every two weeks.
RAION: € 69/box
RAINNOKO: € 39/box
You can order at www.raionnoko.be
