I am a customer of your organization. I took refuge in your organization in the interest of protecting business interests. We have opened a Kutumbari page (2014) and operated our page 'Kutumbari' by following your instructions and paying you and paying you regularly 2016.
But none of your reputation in the world got my 'family'. Rather, I have suffered extreme business losses as a result of your misguided and mismanaged trade policy. Which still exists. I have applied to your organization expecting a solution (December 7, 2020 NOTICE AND DEMAND).
Numerous restaurants have been opened across the country in keeping with the name of Kutumbari Restaurant. And more than 120+[One hundred twenty +] pages have been opened on Facebook. The real Kutumbari restaurant authorities have complained that the reputation of the original Kutumbari restaurant has been tarnished by this. Authorities have sought justice by publishing a list of those pages on Kutumbari's page.
Visiting Kutumbari's page (Thursday afternoon) it can be seen that the number of followers of the page is 5 lakh 21 thousand 398. The page also drew the attention of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg at various times and sought redressal from the post.
When contacted, Gazi Khaled Ibn Mohammad, managing director of Kutumbari Limited, said, "I got the copyright of Kutumbari Restaurant in 2012 and registered the trademark in 2013." Even then, restaurants have been launched all over the country in the name of Kutumbari. pages have also been opened in the name of those restaurants. Along with Facebook we have sent copies of copyright, trademark registration, and complained many times. Even then those pages were not closed. This has tarnished the reputation of my organization. Financially I have suffered tremendously.
He added that so far, he has posted a list of 8 fake family pages on Facebook. Although he claims that the number is 60 to 65. The list will be sent later.
Gazi Khaled Ibn Mohammad alleged that he had applied to Facebook more than once to verify the page with appropriate documents in accordance with the rules, but Facebook did not evaluate his application. If the page was verified, customers would understand which one was the real one. He complained that Facebook has caused him a huge loss by not doing this.
He said he would seek recourse to the court to resolve the matter as a next step.
It is learned that at present there are two branches of Kutumbari. The Lalmatia branch of the capital has been shut down for business reasons after the outbreak of corona. Apart from this, there is no branch anywhere in the family. But there are restaurants called Kutumbari almost all over the country.
Gazi Khaled Ibna Mohammad said he shared the picture on his page after processing chicken in front of the toilet at a restaurant called Kutumbari in Chittagong. This sent a message to the customer that the family does such work. Others did the work and I was the victim. This is not acceptable.
Lawyer notice against Facebook
Earlier, the Kutumbari Restaurant Limited authorities sent a lawyer notice to Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg seeking $800,000 in damages for business losses. On December 7, 2020, Supreme Court lawyer Kazi Joynal Abedin sent the notice on behalf of Kutumbari. After receiving the notice, Barrister Tajikia Labiba Karim responded on Facebook on January 28 this year. In response, Facebook said it does not allow posts that infringe on anyone else's intellectual property rights, including terms of service, copyrights and trademarks.
Gazi Khaled Ibn Mohammad said, but until then. Facebook did not pay any compensation, did not take any initiative to close those fake pages, Advertisements, publicity , Illegal, Fraud, Unauthorized pages, links and images of Kutumbari-কুটুমবাড়ি. . On the contrary, their page, which was opened in 2014, has been hacked several times so far.

The brand Kutumbari was not established overnight. It became well known to the people of Bangladesh due to the high quality and uniqueness of the foods. I have introduced unique foods from different regions to the people of Bangladesh. Kutumbari restaurant helped the poor and starving people of Mohammadpur, Dhaka by serving them food. They waited for the night so that they could have food from our restaurant. With the help of the established brand “Kutumbari 0 KM”, I have promoted social awareness among the people of Bangladesh. To promote my brand and create social awareness, I had paid for your Facebook. People could rely on the food served by Kutumbari Restaurant due to its quality maintenance. Thus, Kutumbari had become a symbol of trust to the people of Bangladesh. Since it became a well-known brand, many greedy and immoral businessmen used my brand name to pursue customers. They did not maintain food quality and uniqueness of food like the Original Kutumbari. It is a matter of shame that Facebook helped these immoral businessmen by publishing their pages. Whenever people gave a bad review about those fraud and duplicate restaurants which defamed my brand and brought losses, Facebook published those posts. Despite these brands not belonging to the original Kutumbari, Facebook helped to defame my brand. Facebook did not apologize to me like other media. These works of Facebook not only defamed my brand but also destroyed my whole restaurant business. Even if I try to restart my business, I can’t make it a profitable business and established brand like before. Facebook as a social media platform is more responsible than those immoral people who have duplicated my brand name. Because my restaurant business was going well despite those immoral people doing duplicity. But when Facebook promoted and published their pages and published food reviews of those pages, my whole business stopped and suffered huge losses. I want justice and compensation. My demand for Compensation was mentioned on the previous notice.
