The story behind a favorite at Quinta del Carmen๐Ÿท

When Cakebread Cellars purchased Dancing Bear Ranch on Howell Mountain in 1998, they soon discovered some unexpected visitors had a taste for the grapes, especially the Merlot. ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡

To keep the bears away, a motion detector and boombox were set up to play loud music. The plan didnโ€™t quite work, but nighttime footage showed the bears swaying and moving to the music. And just like that, Dancing Bear Ranch was born.

Today, its wine is one of our favorites at Quinta del Carmen. Rich, expressive, and wonderfully complex, itโ€™s a great story and an even better pour. ๐Ÿทโค๏ธ
