Inside the thick walls of an historic mansion you will find a wonderful little restaurant, where you can eat a home-made healthy
lunch, a sumptuous high-tea or high-wine, or dinner you also have the option of sitting on the patio in the back, where a giant tree provides shade and a wonderful background noise of rustling leaves. Our name, Bistro De Suikertuin, means sugar garden, and as many sugar-loving, yellow-breasted small birds visit the patio in the back of the restaurant, the name was aptly chosen. The birds are called `buiki heel' (yellow belly) in Papiamento, our local language. Some of our specialties include, home-made apple pie and the local dish Keshi Yena (oven dish with a lot of cheese and chicken). If you order before 11 am, your order will be ready for pick-up at your specified time. Large orders may be delivered upon request.
