We have a wonderful update on our earthquake relief auction. The Sunset painting has found a home 🌅

The Sunrise and Sunset, twin paintings were envisioned and created on Boardwalk beach by local artist Suelyn and lovingly curated by our very own Boardwalk designer Claudia. The Sunset has now found a home at the winner of our auction that raised USD 3,600 for earthquake relief in Colombia and Venezuela. Its counterpart, the Sunrise, will stay with us, to be admired at Boardwalk.

Thank you to everyone who bid, and to Suelyn Dankerlui for creating something so tied to Aruba, to Claudia for your creative vision to help raising funds for the affected areas by the earthquakes.
Many of our team have friends and family in the affected areas, and saw what these earthquakes did to the people we love. This auction was our way to help.

As our Slow Summer eases into the next season, we’re holding onto the pace it taught us.🌺

Hammocks swaying beneath the palms whilst the sound of singing bowls drifts through the gardens. Sunsets with local musicians and a cocktail in hand. Walks through gardens that grew from a coconut plantation. Small, unhurried moments, the kind you don’t rush through, just settle into.🥥

The season’s changing, but the pace doesn’t have to. 💫

We’ve always loved championing local Aruban artists, this year, that’s Suelyn Dankerlui’s Sunrise & Sunset: two paintings, painted live on our section of Palm Beach at opposite ends of the day. 💫

Suelyn painted them on Boardwalk beach, with guests and locals watching both sessions unfold.

The sunrise now proudly hangs at Boardwalk whilst the sunset is up for auction. 100% of the winning bid going to earthquake relief in Colombia and Venezuela, a cause close to home for our team. 🩵
