A spectacular event is happening at the villa. I think it is a reminder to all of us that we are resilient. 2020 has been challenging but together we can power through. For this Midwestern Gardener, I find this truly amazing! Even more amazing that my family will soon join us here for the holidays and this beautiful event of nature. After purchasing the villa, one of its owners planted an Agave plant. Little did he know is was preparing for this magnificent flowering event. These plants only bloom once in their lifetime, when the plant is 10-30 years old. The bloom will send out 1000's of seeds to continue the Agave life cycle. After providing remarkably striking foliage for years, the biggest and boldest Agaves bolt with spectacularly tall floral stalks that support horizontal pads of flowers. These stalks can bloom for months, and stand for months after bloom is finished. Then things get ugly. The foliage around each bloom folds back, desiccates and dies. There is no nice way to describe it. Bloom is death to the mother plant.
To those that come after us, we hope you too can enjoy this event.

Opal Villa is a spectacular free-standing villa which is located in the upscale residential area of Opal, Rooi Santo in Noord. The villa is only a 7-minute drive from the Palm Beach strip with all hotels, beaches, casinos and shopping centers and less than a 5-minute drive to beautiful Arashi Beach.

Opal Villa is a very spacious, well equipped, elegant villa providing 4 bedrooms which have an ensuite bathroom, 3 bedrooms have large walk in closets with new King size beds, night stands and dressers. 1 bedroom has a full-size bed with wardrobe. The 2nd floor Master Suite is uniquely large providing beach views with an atmosphere of sophistication. TV’s are located in each room with a Smart TV in the family room allowing you to stream your favorite shows with WIFI included in your stay.
