Fantastic Fishing at the Causeway over the weekend. Well it was a bit cold but some very keen Anglers as always off the bridge over the weekend. Heaps of good size flathead and lots of whiting.

The best fish was a 67cm Flathead by Sam Lucas - off the bridge on Saturday - well done young fella!! And good on you Chris Lucas for sending in your sons pic.

Shop was flatout over the weekend so thanks to our hard working staff.
Starting today we will have our Winter Anglers Special. Come into the Shop from 8a - 10a 7 days a week and get a hearty Bacon & Egg roll and a regular coffee for $12.50.

CAUSEWAY LAKE SHOP IS HIRING.

It's that time of the year again - where we need more quality team members at our busy little fish and chip shop.
Junior Team Members - We are seeking up to six keen, reliable and available young persons who are able to work after school shifts Mon - Fri and also Breakfast Lunch and Dinner shifts on weekends. Please either drop your resume into the shop to Vicki and/or send by email to [email protected]. We pay award wages. No experience needed just be eager to learn.

Adult Team Members - We are also seeking up to two adult team members who are available to work between 8a-7p. We offer regular hours, award wages. You must be able to work evening shifts and weekends. Previous experience in fast food and hospitality preferred.

LEST WE FORGET - ANZAC DAY
Causeway Lake Shop is open today until 7pm. We normally cease taking telephone orders at 6.45pm. Please note that due to the anticipated dinner rush tonight we will cut off phone orders when we feel we cannot cook all orders by 7pm. We will also stagger times booked to collect orders tonight. So if you want to collect your order at 6pm it would pay to book early.
We are open 8a - 7p everyday over the Anzac Day long weekend.
We will also be open 8a-7p over the Labour Day long weekend next week.

EASTER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS JUNIOR FISHING COMPETITION RESULTS.
Hi All,
There was a lot of fishing going on over the school holidays and plenty of junior fisherpersons having a great time. Not a great deal of LEGAL fish caught and we only received 3 entries onto the Brag Board. (If there are any late entries that haven’t been reported by 12 midday please contact shop asap by email [email protected] OR 07 4933 7196.)
The winners are:
Barra: Xavier Brady with a 53cm caught on 14 April 2026 off the Bridge.
Bream: Jarvis MacDonald of Emmaus with a 30cm Bream caught on Coolwaters side of runthrough 6 April 2026.
Mangrove Jack: Billy Kemp 52 cm caught off Bridge on 14 April 2026. (Not yet verified).
PRIZE COLLECTION
If Xavier, Jarvis and Billy want to attend at the shop you can collect your cash prize.
We will be running another Junior Fishing Competition in the next School Holidays. Never any entry fee, just rockup to the Causeway Shop fishing area, catch a legal brag board fish, present proof to the shop and win. (Must be school Student 16yrs and under). Good Luck.
YEARLY COMPETITION AND BRAG BOARD
We will leave the junior brag board up for another week then put back the overall yearly brag board open to all ages that finishes on 30 November 2026. Remember you have to be in it to win the great prizes. Over $2000 in rods, reels, lures and other tackle will be won this year. Tight Lines. Stay Safe.
