β€οΈ 17 YEARS AGO, THIS GUY HAD NO IDEA WHERE LIFE WOULD TAKE HIM.
And honestly, this photo is just for attention. π The story behind it means a lot more to me.
One thing you might notice at DNK is that I sometimes remember your order, even if you haven't visited us in months. Sometimes I remember your last four or five orders. I might forget your name, but I'll remember what you ordered. And trust me, if I ever got your order wrong, I'll probably remember that too. π
Monday at 11am? I'm getting ready for Ross's Pork Belly SSP.
Wednesday and Friday at 11:15am? Anthony's Moist Maker and We Go Big Tonight deliveries are already on my mind before the orders come through.
And five years ago, when we opened at 10am, Tate Auto Electrics would order four Schnitty Chooks with extra Chipotle Mayo at 10:30am sharp.
These aren't just orders to me. They're memories.
We've been through COVID, inflation, interest rate hikes and the fuel crisis. I've made mistakes, gone too big too soon, and dropped the ball along the way.
But even when things weren't going well, people in this community still had my back.
For the last 2.5 years, I've worked hard to rebuild, improve and earn that trust again.
And I'll never forget the people who gave us that chance.
So if you walk through our doors and I start preparing your order before you've even placed it, don't be surprised. π
I remember you. I remember your support. And I appreciate every dollar you choose to spend with my little business.
Because money doesn't come easy, and neither does the time you give us.
At 19, the young guy in this photo never imagined he'd be here one day. He certainly never dreamed this big.
I'm still learning, still cooking, still making mistakes and still trying to get better every day.
But one thing will never change: I'll never take this community for granted.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of our journey. β€οΈ
