▪️Pancake Stack - 3 fluffy pancakes topped with berry compote, ice cream, maple syrup and pistachio nuts

❤️ A little life update from Laneway Lunchbox… ❤️

Firstly, we are BUSY! The café is busy, online catering is busy, and Christmas is fast approaching!

Like many small businesses, we’ve had plenty to navigate with rising costs, fuel prices, supplier increases and wage changes. We held off on our usual July price increases and have spent considerable time finding ways to keep our prices as reasonable as possible for you.

Now, let’s talk CHRISTMAS! 🎄

YES, we are absolutely doing Christmas catering this year! Salads, roasts, desserts and all the usual Christmas fanfare will be available.

With the introduction of our salad bar, there’ll also be more variety and some exciting changes to how we offer Christmas catering this year.

PLEASE NOTE ADDITIONAL CLOSURE

My son is getting married on October 23rd, and yes, we’re catering the wedding. It will undoubtedly be my favourite catering job of all time.

Our chef, Caleb, is also getting married on October 22nd and will be away for a few weeks, and our third grandchild is due towards the end of November!

So between running the café, catering, weddings, grandchildren and being a mum of four adult children with families of their own, life is a little crazy right now!

You may have noticed I’ve been quieter on social media lately. There’s nothing wrong with the café, nothing dramatic happening behind the scenes. I’m just BUSY, and social media has simply had to take a back seat while I focus on my family, our staff and our customers.

CHRISTMAS RELEASE 🎄

Our Christmas menu will be released November 1st, Christmas Eve catering pickups will go ahead as usual, and our website will close around December 17th.

We’ll also take our usual break from Christmas Eve until after New Year’s, giving our wonderful staff some valuable time with their loved ones.

So please bear with us while we navigate this very busy and exciting season of life.

This week in our lovely little shop!

A big welcome to all our Queensland visitors enjoying their holidays in Yamba! We’re getting ready for the holiday rush! ❤️
We’re having a little tidy-up in the kitchen this week, using up a few of our favourites to make room for some new and exciting things on the specials menu.

So, back this week (and until sold out!):
▪️Pork Gyoza with house dipping sauce
▪️Salt & Pepper Squid with fries and tartare

Once they’re gone, we’ll switch things up and introduce some new specials if needed!
Pop in, say hello, grab a coffee and enjoy a little something delicious.

Brush Beats will be taking over the laneway with an incredible exhibition featuring over 100 artworks from our talented young local artists! Come down, wander through the laneway and see what the young people of Yamba have created.

Laneway Lunchbox will be OPEN Saturday from 8am–11:30am, serving:

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to join in on the fun at our little shop

MONDAY – THURSDAY
10:30am – 2:30pm
Approx. 16 hours per week
☀️ No weekends!

This is a base-level / entry-level position, so experience isn’t essential.

Your day will include:

Washing dishes & keeping things tidy
Running food
Greeting and helping customers
Pitching in with the team wherever needed

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, happy to work and comfortable chatting with people.
