Wye General Easter PSA :

This Easter looks a little different in Wye. The store and cafe remain closed.

Whilst work has now commenced inside the building, there still remains a lot to do before we can open back up.

A few things:
Mail - long wknd collection available from the site shed in front of the kiosk roller door:
Easter Friday 12-4pm
Easter Saturday 12-2pm
Easter Sun/mon closed.

Pub - are offering a coffee service and a light bfast menu for the duration of the school holidays, from the function space next to the pub. See their instagram for further details.

CFA fete - on Saturday at 10am at the CFA shed.

Hi all,

The last week or two have been a bit topsy-turvy. Apologies if you haven't been able to collect your parcels.

The following days... - Mail collection will be available:

29 Jan Thursday 11-4

30 Jan Friday 11-4

31 Jan Saturday 11-2

1 Feb Sunday closed

2 Feb Monday closed

3 Feb Tuesday 11-4

4 Feb Wednesday closed

5 Feb Thursday 11-4

6 Feb Friday closed

7 Feb Saturday 11-2

Sun/mon closed

We shall see how that program works.

We have set up in a site shed out the front of the kiosk for now.

Unfortunately, the Cleanup at the shop is scheduled to go for another month, removing damaged cabinetry/plaster, more cleaning and also removing all equipment for thorough cleaning. Then repairs operations commence.

The process is evolving and it's difficult for us to say exactly how long this is going to go on for.

Thank you for the outpouring of support. It is so great read all the comments and feel the love!

Whilst cleanup has commenced and continues here, and the road is open, the business remains closed :( we want to ensure the place gets thoroughly cleaned, dried and repaired where necessary.

We also won't be back open for the long weekend ahead.

However, our friends at up the hill will be open and happy to see visitors back in town. I'm sure the communities along the great Ocean Road at large have been missing their usual summer trade that keeps them open for the rest of the year.

We will be receiving parcels from again from today onwards.

What a week!

After the deluge, our little coastal community has showed up in the biggest way. Neighbours, friends, and visitors all pitching in to clear the mud from our shop, help out at the caravan park, and get the park and beach back to their happy, sandy selves.

So grateful for these Legends! 🙏

Wild day.

Many thanks to the immediate response from and .builders for the community bbq. for hosting thirsty, displaced and hungry campers.

Plenty of cleaning up to do.

Everything happened so quickly today - thanks to all involved. And thanks to all the staff who promptly evacuated the premises today.
