Can you have one made using the old part design?
UPDATE & THANK YOU ๐๐ฆ
Thank you so much to everyone who commented, shared ideas, tagged people, and tried to help us solve this. I knew I could count on this community to help me find a needle in a haystackโฆ and you absolutely did.
A wonderful man named Marcus from Adaptive Air showed up first thing this morning and didโฆ honestly, I donโt even know what ๐
- lots of measurements, calculations, and serious brain work and he already has a custom coil ordered for us.
When something like this is custom made, nothing is guaranteed, but Iโm feeling really excited and hopeful. We should have the part in about two weeks and will be giving it a try.
Zero thanks to Master-Bilt, who still has not responded to any of my emails or requests for help getting this freezer back in service.
But huge thanks to all of you. This is exactly why community matters. Love you all. ๐๐ฆ

I donโt like asking for help, but I am about to have a full on metal meltdown and I need the community right now.
Last summer, one of our Master-Bilt display cases died because of a bad evaporator coil. That is when we learned the freezer and the part are discontinued. We spent months trying to find a fix, a used part, literally anything. Nothing.
Now we are about to open for the season and THE SECOND CASE JUST FAILED. SAME PART.
That means we now have TWO, $20,000 eleven hundred pound machines that are under ten years old and completely useless.
I did my homework when we opened. I bought from a reputable American company. I involved our local refrigeration tech to make sure he could work on them if ever needed. I planned responsibly.
We are not asking for anything free. We are begging to PAY to fix this. All we need are engineering drawings so we can have the coil custom made. Master Bilt will not provide them, will not sell the part, and will not offer a solution. Even face to face at the ice cream convention, we got nowhere.
We were lucky enough to replace one case a few weeks ago, but we cannot replace another. The cost and a 5 month wait from Italy is not a realistic solution.
Small businesses should not be forced to replace entire machines because a manufacturer will not support their own equipment, especially when it is not even old.
If you know anyone at Master-Bilt or anyone who can help, PLEASE tag them or share this.
We are desperate. This post was my last resort.
