Echo & Bounce is an independent record store and cafe in an old, heritage building in Woolloongabba, Meanjin (Brisbane).

we have Not PLASTIC clothing up in the studio for a daytime sewing sesh: borrow-a-machine tickets all gone, but there are still tickets for those that can bring their own! learn to upcycle with kitt and jayd, all skill levels welcome

in the evening at Season Three is fjordie with their launch of ‘please you more’, with Louella and The Idle Minds

Season Three will welcome troth with an lp launch: joined by Primitive Motion and club sound witches

then wrapping up with Refuge, Meanjin in the basement with Mr. Memo b2b Payman Meydani & Chloe Gowdie. immersive and hypnotic

in the eve at Season Three are heavy rockers LEAKER joined by GRIEG and a letter from greenpoint. all ages, earplugs recommended!

then closing out the night with Refuge, Meanjin in the basement ~ body moving music with Simon Windsor, Karishma, Will Stockwell, & pantiestoageek

sunday

we have the regular weekly onigiri menu led by our very own chef rina, serving all through cafe hours (10-3)

plus Dazy Journal Club | Brisbane in the studio for another free journal club session (spots are all reserved for this one!), some materials provided, byo extra stickers/found treasures/journals etc

then we have SpeakEasy Poetry in the studio for a sensory performance workshop led by Katie Lohner, a bit of light catering included as part of your ticket!

finally we finish off the week with ‘art rats moving at 78 speed’ a group exhibition in the loft aka season three space. including artwork by holly isabel mcguire, :^), bree fraser, caitlin, darsbree fraser🫧,caitlinGEdarsey grace ⭐️🫧n,FawnnnGERMrrMiLaNansharyn

warming up again folks! here’s the weekly program for the first week of spring. we just installed a fresh new art exhibition in the cafe and bar too by Mallory Phillips, pls come and look at these incredible works!!

Mason Levey are in the basement, discussing ween’s album ‘the mollusk’, free to join in

sprig magazine takes over the venue today for their launch! this means ramen night is closed to the public ~ tho there are still some sprig tickets if you’re desperate for some thurs night ramen. ft author readings, art exhibition, and tunes by PAFF🪽

smell library will also be set up on the bar side: come and browse a curated collection of vintage and indie fragrances (sorted by season, which is my fave part)

plus the always sold out CicadaInstinct chainmail workshop upstairs in the studio; learning the basics and how to make a necklace! make sure you keep a keen eye on their page for future dates

first up we have Open Booth Foundation Brisbane with an ‘open deck’ night, sign up to register to play. ft. djs , lila, & radrad..

plus rinas ramen is being served this evening! we always have gf and vego options to go round :-)

upstairs in Season Three is a 4ZZZ takeover curated by pale interior, featuring bands BLINDGIRLS, hotchkiss, & yorohaerte

friday

ramen night once again, every thursday & friday unless we say otherwise!! bar also open plus some cafe cold drinks like our matcha iced latte also available

we are also closing the ‘coalescence’ art show which has graced our cafe walls this month, grab a drink & admire the works of IMOGENE MACKEY˚ 𝜗𝜚˚⋆｡☆, 35MM UNIVERSE, Amber Glassworx, and geo !!

we are very excited for september’s cafe art show! as many of you know by now, from this year we have started rotating our art on the cafe walls every month. it’s a very cool way to keep the place fresh and lets artists reach new audiences

in sept we are welcoming sarah phillips (Sarah Philips) who’s paintings have blown us away and we just had to reach out. sarah paints beautiful still lifes and surreal nature inspired pieces with a beautiful moodiness. can’t get enough of these!!!
