Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner.
It’s a little like our ANZAC day with all the parades but on a way happier note as it celebrates the Mexican victory over the French back in 1862 in Puebla. It’s grown into a celebration of life and Mexican Culture as well as marking a very important losses of the war.

It’s a show of might (army displays like China or Russia) amongst the pageantry and music (like USA college pageants) within the parade. We have been lucky enough to attend in one of our trips
So this Wednesday it maybe the 6th of May here but in Mexico it’s still the 5th.

So let’s celebrate Mexican Culture and cuisine the battle of Puebla and Cinco de Mayo. Wednesday 6th May

HAPPY HOUR Margaritas all night and Michael will be dishing up a new molè for the night in the specials.

Anzac Day and Weekend trading

Anzac Day- Closed as we remember those you have served our great nation and those that are still serving.

While in Melbourne we visited the Shrine of Remembrance and took a tour through the ages of war our nation has been involved in.
We thank those that have served and serving for what they have given up for us to live today. Re reflect on the losses and pain and agony that war inflicts, to the individuals, the families and what it would have meant to suffer like many of those have done before us.

Hola amigos
Due to some staffing health issues ( Our Chef Christy was in Coffs Hospital until yesterday - wishing her some answers and a speedy recovery)- we will not be able to open Wednesday night as Michael n I will not be back in time for service Thursday from Melbourne ( Yes it’s been fun). Just a few snap shots.
But we will be back on deck Thursday see you all then. Yes there have been a few margaritas tested (not as good as ours)

Just a quick post to say we are closed tonight Sunday 19th to Wednesday. We are off for family commitments in Melbourne. Our son Matthew’s birthday celebrations.
