After 40 years by the water, Lagoon Restaurant has officially served its final meal.

It’s hard to put into words what this place has meant to us. What started as a family dream became a huge part of our lives, shaped by the people who walked through the doors over the years.

To our customers, staff, friends, families, and everyone who shared a meal, celebrated a milestone, worked a shift, or created a memory here - Thank you!

We feel incredibly lucky to have been part of so many lives and moments for over four decades. Thank you for growing with us, supporting us, and giving Lagoon the legacy it holds today. We will carry these memories with us forever 🙏🏼 🎉

By the late 90s, Lagoon wasn’t just a restaurant anymore, it was one of Wollongong’s icons. Big celebrations, big energy, and even bigger memories rolling through the doors. Then came January 2001 and the fire that changed everything.

What could’ve been the end of the story instead became a reset. Two years of rebuilding, and a rebirth in 2004, Lagoon stronger, brighter, and more beautiful than ever.
