Our w**e list celebrates the soul of Italy through both imported Italian w**es and Australian-made w**es crafted from classic Italian varietals. From Sangiovese and Montepulciano to Vermentino and Fiano, each bottle reflects the character of its grape and the place it calls home—whether in Italy or here in Australia. At Osteria Lume, we’ve made a different decision.
Instead of creating temporary meal deals, we’ve worked hard to reshape our menu… to reflect the times we’re living in.
We believe that a beautiful pasta and a glass of w**e… shouldn’t feel like a luxury.

That’s why, at Osteria Lume, 80% of our menu reflects affordability where a pasta or main with w**e - amounts to under $50 every night .

Not because we’ve made the portions smaller.

Not because we’ve cut corners.

And not because we’ve compromised on quality.

We’ve simply chosen to keep our food honest… generous… and accessible.

The ingredients, the woodfire cooking, the handmade elements, and the care that goes into every dish… remain exactly the same.

To us, good hospitality means looking after people.

Who needs enemies when you have meatballs....bringing everyone together!

🇮🇹🇦🇺 A recipe carried across oceans.

Every Italian family seems to have their own version of polpette. Different regions. Different ingredients. Different opinions.

One thing never changes.

A pot of tomato sauce, meatballs simmering away, and someone insisting theirs are better than everyone else's.

This dish belongs equally to Italy and Australia now.

And we're perfectly happy about that.

Ask for it in Australia and you'll probably get a smile.

Somewhere between Italian tradition and Australian trattoria culture, Boscaiola found its place at the table.

Authentic? Maybe not.
