🖥️ Regional OTP Workshop - Shepparton 🖥️

Last week, two members of the McDonald’s IT Consulting Team delivered the Operations Technology Program (OTP) workshop for regional restaurants -North Victoria.

Across two classes, 17 Lyster Inc managers attended the hands-on lab workshop, gaining valuable insight into restaurant technology services, hardware systems, and troubleshooting practices.

The course designed to help restaurants reduce downtime, support new technology implementation, and identify practical cost-saving opportunities within operations.

A huge thank you to Fabian and Harrison for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our Organisation .

We look forward to our managers bringing this knowledge back into their restaurants to further support operations and share their learnings with their wider management teams. 👏💻🍟

Dale has kept busy with line marking, painting, HVAC cleaning, window cleaning, back of house detail cleaning and supporting all stores with corporate visits 🧼 🧽 🧹 .

A huge congratulations to Will Roberts from our Shepparton North Restaurant for successfully completing the Developing the Leader in Me course at the Melbourne Training Centre this week!

Across the three-days of course, Will explored a range of leadership styles, built a deeper understanding of authentic leadership, and developed skills in delivering effective feedback on shift.

We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other Department Managers while continuing to grow your knowledge of the McDonald’s systems.

🎒 Careers Expo - Lyster Inc edition 👨‍🏫

Last week, our Shepparton and Mooroopna Restaurants attended two fantastic careers events across the Shepparton region! 🎉

On Wednesday night, Emily Butcher and Josephine Evans attended Ganbina Annual Careers Night, chatting with students about all things Macca’s and even challenging them to build a Sundae topping pump! 🍦

Then on Thursday, Emily Butcher, Makayla Tamburro and Tamelia Morgan met with more than 2,000 students from across Northern Victoria at the Careers Expo held at the Shepparton Showgrounds Careers Day Out

Our team had a fantastic time connecting with students, future applicants and careers advisors from local schools — showcasing what it means to be part of the Macca’s team and sharing the opportunities available at Macca’s. 💛 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓

🎓 DLM Graduation 🎓

From Karen our People & Training Manager ⬇️

Congratulations to Kaitlin Percy from our Glenrowan South Restaurant and Anika Preece from Wangaratta both completed the Developing the Leader in Me (DLM) Course at the Melbourne Training Centre this week.

Over three days, guided by our fantastic Learning and Development Consultants, they explored different leadership styles, discovered how to develop their own authentic approach, and learned how to give effective feedback.

Our managers also extended their stay and attended the face to face Product Quality Course, gaining further insight into P&L Food Costs, Planned Maintenance and using MBSync.

🏆 Shout out to Kaitlin who was received the Professional Manager Award at DLM. This award is nominated and selected by the LD Consultants - Amazing work 👩‍🎓.

✨Hope you both enjoyed your experience, meeting other Department Managers, and growing your understanding of the McDonald's systems.

We look forward to seeing you back in your Restaurant, sharing all your valuable insights with the team. Well done again guys 👩‍🎓👩‍🎓
