The chats at the counter, the catch ups over brekkie, the quick “how are ya?” and the familiar faces that walk through our doors every day, that connection matters.

Today is a good reminder to check in properly.

Not just “you good?” as you rush past.

Sit down. Have the coffee. Send the message. Make the call. Ask the question and actually make space for the answer.

Every Google review, compliment or kind word about Hey Buddy fills our hearts right up, and sometimes our heads get a little bigger. 😂
But what I love most is what those words do for our team.
When someone pops their head into our tiny kitchen just to say, “Thanks chefs, that was amazing,” the whole space lifts. The smiles get bigger, the banter gets louder, and suddenly everyone’s walking around like they’ve just won an award. 😂
Those little moments build confidence, pride and connection and they remind our team that all the care they put in is noticed and appreciated 👏

Today was officially our biggest Hey Buddy day yet, and we are incredibly proud.

To our team, thank you. You worked hard, backed each other, kept smiling and gave everything you had. The heart you bring to Hey Buddy every day never goes unnoticed.✨️

And to our beautiful community, thank you for showing up, supporting us, filling our tables and choosing to spend part of your Father’s Day with us.

We never take that support for granted.

Today was a big one, but more than anything, it was a reminder of just how lucky we are to have the team and community that we do. ❤️

Tomorrow is Father’s Day. 💙

A day for the dads, pops, grandads, stepdads, bonus dads, step-up dads and all the incredible father figures who show up, love hard and help shape the people we become.

For some, tomorrow will be full of laughter, breakfast dates and terrible dad jokes. For others, it may carry a little more weight, missing someone, remembering someone, or wishing things looked a little different.✨️

However Father’s Day looks for you, we hope tomorrow brings a moment of connection, love and appreciation.

The calm before the storm… 😅☕️

We are READY TO RUMBLE this Father’s Day weekend! 💪

We’re almost fully booked, the coffee machine is about to enter survival mode, and the kitchen team may forget what day it is by 10am. 😂

We’ll be doing our absolute best to keep the coffees flowing, the food flying and the dads fed.

Please remember to be kind to our team, they’re running on caffeine, adrenaline and the promise of a knock-off drink. 😂❤️
