Last of all, do you know where the name Crepe Kamon came from? Kamon is ‘ Come on’ and also Japanese family crest ‘ Kamon’. Most Kamon goes back hundreds of years of history in Japan. I made my own Kamon for the shop.

Hopefully see you in town. Thank you

I just want to say thank you so much for supporting the little crepe shop. The door was closed, and shop sign was gone now.

First of all, big thank you to the regular customers who are hardcore crepe and matcha fans who came in the shop week after week. Especially lovely West End locals, and Japanese community in Brisbane. I couldn’t make it this far without your support.

I was overwhelmed so many people turned up towards the end. Sorry we couldn’t serve properly as we weren’t well equipped to cope that many people. We used many products from Japan so some ingredients were run out as the shipping was delays due to COVID. As I had to announce our closing date at last minute, I know many customers couldn’t make it to taste one more last crepe. We had to close so sudden as the transition happened very quickly. Not planned at this moment, but maybe one day I may do a pop-up for the customers who missed last dining in.

It has been a joyful and tough journey, but I purely enjoyed this unique ride and meeting so many people through the shop.

Crepe Kamon started from the casual conversation with my friends talking about there weren’t any Japanese crepe shops in Brisbane. Back then I was unemployed and broke (my husband is a musician). Although not particularly from eatery backgrounds, I couldn’t resist the curiosity and wanted to have a go with new things. All I had was love of coffee & tea, and passion for spreading Japanese tastes & culture. Along with my obsession with serving better crepes and Japanese drinks, the mediocre crepes & drink in the beginning transformed to ones with more distinctive styles and taste over the years. All I wanted was making simple Japanese street food which people wants to taste again and again and creating the space for people to gather.

Thank you so much for your overwhelming support. We are so sorry many customers waited long time to be served. Also, we had to turn down many customers as we run out of everything by mid day last two days. Also, I feel really sad I’m too busy in the kitchen and couldn’t even say hello. I saw many regular faces and really wanted to say thank you.
Tomorrow will be our last day. We will only serve sweet crepes & desserts and drinks. Trading hours will be 10am - 6pm tomorrow.
Sorry again for your disappointment 😞

Hi everyone, due to business transition, our last day will be next Monday 13th of September. I’m very sorry to close the shop so soon. I know lots of you plan to come later this month to have one more last crepes. I wanted to serve crepes during this coming school holiday to see more smiley faces of school kids, but it was not to be.
