Opened in 1990, this Brisbane icon was originally started to serve the students living in the three houses above. In 1995 The Three Monkeys changed hands and major expansion took place, moving into the courtyard and across into adjoining rooms. Before the South Bank revolutions, The Three Monkeys was “the place to be” after a show at the Performing Arts Centre, often staying open past 2am to accommodate the performers. Autographed posters line the walls, from artists, to actors and athletes as a testament to it's popularity.

Hi Everyone,
We are managing our Trading Hours and changing them a bit to better suit the current sitaution we have all been put in due to COVID-19.
Our cafe's trading hours are going to be reduced, hopefully for only a short period of time, because of the decrease in amount of foot traffic and staff shortages due to government policy adherance.

Our temporary Trading Hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm
Saturday - Sunday - 8:30am - 7:00pm

Hi all, we will be opening on Mondays again during the day from 9am til 2:30pm!

It’s been a while now since we’ve had to close down a day due to finance reasons from COVID, but we are starting to slowly get back to opening our full 7 days. We are hoping to be back in full swing in 2022

Hi Everyone.
Unfortunately we will be closing down the cafe from now on, temporarily, every TUESDAY. It is something we have tried to avoid but due to the lack of foot traffic we simply can’t justify keeping open. It does seem like a struggle but we are hoping this change does not stay long, and when we are in a position to open back up on fully, we definitely will!
We hope you all understand and hope COVID will stop ruining things soon!
Our OPENING HOURS are as follows:
