💜 It’s time to say farewell 💜

Yes, I was reading off a piece of paper in the video 😅 You can probably see how hard I was concentrating on it. This has been really difficult to say out loud, and I wanted to make sure I got through everything without forgetting something important.

I’m so sorry that we’re having to share this news. Our lease is ending, and I don’t know what will happen with the venue after we leave. I can only tell you what our plans are for the Welshpool Hotel between now and then.

If you have an accommodation or bistro booking affected by the closure, we’ll contact you directly over the next week 🫶🏻

We’d love to share a few more good nights with you before we go:

• Friday 9 October: Line dancing
• Saturday 17 October: Our farewell party with Alysha and Duffy. They played our first gig with us, and now they’ll be here for our last. 💙 Please come down and make it a great night with us ❤️
• Sunday 18 October: The bistro’s last dinner, unless we sell out earlier
• Sunday 25 October: The bar, bottleshop and accommodation will finish at close of business, unless we sell out earlier. That gives us the following week to pack up and clean up.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, worked with us and made the Welshy feel like home. I’m sorry this is how our time here is ending.

I know people will have questions and opinions. Please understand how hard this is for all of us, especially our staff and their families. Please don’t put my staff in the middle of it or give them a hard time. If you want to talk to me about it, contact me directly.

For now, I’d really love to see you at the pub and make the most of the time we have left together. ❤️
