This Saturday April 13th, the Monteith Hall will be opening up its doors and inviting you all in to check out a wide variety of stalls!

The stalls will be open and trading 9am-2pm, and the committee will also be on the BBQ during this time cooking up some delicious egg and bacon rolls.

There will be so many items for you to look at and purchase, including jewellery, cakes/desserts, collectables, pre-loved clothing, bric-a-brac, and SO MUCH MORE!

So come to the Hall, buy an egg and bacon roll for just $5, and grab yourself a bargain!

Happy Sunday everyone 😃
It's been 4 weeks since we said goodbye and haven't those weeks flown by quickly!🙃
Having brunch this morning with the family and thinking of the fun times we had.

Hope everyone's having a fab day🤗

And now I'm off to do the dishes...🙄

The Hall cafe is temporarily closed as the new owners Patty and Adz refurbish.

*Warning, long post ahead...

❤A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our little oasis, from our beautiful regulars to the wanderers and the occasional drop-ins.

❤Thank you for the joy, the laughter, the fabulous Sunday afternoons filled with conversations. These are treasured memories

❤Thank you for the friendships, for sharing your stories and your lives with us, the celebrations, the tears of joy and sometimes sadness.

❤Thank you Angie Tomkinson for the numerous photos that you took of the cafe at different times of the day

❤Thank you to our wonderful local artisans and artists who provided us with their beautiful handcrafted products

❤Thank you to Storm and Kelly who put up with my shenanigans and created a fab, welcoming atmosphere

❤Thank you to our past staff who patiently helped me understand how a cafe works and put up with my crazy

❤Thank you to my stubborn, insightful and driven husband, Laurie, who was mad enough to take on the old East Wellington chapel in all its ruinous glory and said "its walls are straight, I think we can do this!" and then proceeded to take us on a challenging journey to restore the chapel

So what's new at the cafe🤔

📚This morning our copy of the East Wellington cemetery book arrived just in time for History month.
Extensively researched by local historians Elizabeth Nicholls and Christine Hartman, beautifully bound and available for anyone to have a look through👀

💐Valerie's beautiful flowers are in and a bargain at $15

🥖🍞 and Kaye's bread has arrived but you better be quick as there's only one left!

Oh...and we also have food, coffee ☕ and cake🍰
