Hello my beautiful peeps. The Christina Cake, Milly Filly’s & Rhubarb Tart as seen in my Pressure Test will be available in store tomorrow . I’ve been HQ baking my tatas off since early this morning to make sure we’re well stocked up. Please come and say hi. A LIL HISTORY IF THE 3 SWEETIES

The first pic is the very first Christina Cake I made 9 years ago for my late mum’s 67th birthday. I’m so happy I got to honour her in the challenge because when I bake is when I feel her most - her hands are in my hands…..

The Milly Filly or Millefeuille is the pastry that forever changed the way I thought about pastry after I first ate it in Paris about a decade ago. Simple flavours which rely on brilliant French technique. From eating my first milly, I learned that pastry that isn’t baked golden brown all the way through is A CRIME!

The Rhubarb Lily Tart was developed from my Season 1 finale pressure test and a failed idea for a rhubarb tart in the same season. I actually had a dream about how I could execute it, ran out that morning and bought all the ingredients # and perfected it - a lesson in not giving up on an idea that goes south. The result of this is pic 5 which is a deconstructed tart….so you can see it keeps evolving ♥️

I just wanted to share the history because this Pressure Test meant so much to me. I passionately wanted to showcase traditional baking and dishes that encapsulate my journey.
