watched last sunday.

nothing dramatic really happens, yet somehow it quietly says everything about life.

the film follows his the same small routines over and over like cleaning public toilets, goes to public bathhouse to resting, watering plants, reading books, listening to old music (all my old favourites!) watching light move through trees.

it feels simple, but slowly you realize how much beauty exists in ordinary days when you actually pay attention.
i think that’s what the director wanted to share with.

it reminded me (again) that peace may not come from chasing bigger answers or bigger moments, but from fully being present with what is already here.

very gentle, human film it quietly stayed in my heart long after it ended and it will forever.

i have not watched japanese films recently (besides my ghibli favourites🤎) but this movie makes me miss all the japanese movie i watched so i will try to re-watch all the favourites from now.
