The love and support we have received has been very overwhelming!
Thank you all for your time, suggestions, chats, help.. & carrying this anger with us!

Yes it’s sad!
We had alot of regulars for our hangis.
Every Hangi maker we’ve had, has always put alot of love into them 🫶🏽
We did events, birthdays, funerals, cultural days, gatherings, fundraisers & much more.
This upset wasn’t about the sales, but the service & connection it provided for our community & our people.

We don’t know what this looks like for us & that’s just the reality of it.
But.. we definitely ain’t giving up!! we fought hard to get where we are! & we ain’t going anywhere!! 😂😂
We have a wide range of other options
& we will expand these options over time!
Watch this space 👀👀💪🏾

We will look into if we can make something happen ASAP, but if not, it’s allgood!
We accepted the call & it is what it is.

As much as I would like to fight for you all to try accommodate a solution…
At this time in our personal lives it’s just about time… our families need to stay prioritised!
We work so much already.

We appreciate so much that everyone is willing to give.. but we rather save that for people in actual need ❤️
We have a lot of people who have reached out to help & we will see what we can do as time goes by!
&& it’s definitely not the end, one day soon they will be back!!!!

I just wanted to make clear this was not a race issue! We have so many cool ass Aussie bros/sisters & other cultures that come through our doors & we have much respect & love for them!!
No other businesses or our people have tried to bring us down. We respect all other businesses and their grind 🫶🏽
We also have nothing personal against the actual council.
By Gods grace I keep the whole story with Him.. & we will keep pushing on 🙏🏽🤪🤣

Morning fam 🫶🏽
We got some pretty sad news to share 😮‍💨😮‍💨

We are no longer allowed to make hangis so there will be none available today & moving forward…
We had a meeting with the council and have been given a notice to cease making them.

Basically, they said our cooker is not in our floor plan for food preparation or cooking.

Common sense tells you it’s the safest place for it as it’s an open flame, outdoor, gas burner ..
7 years it’s been going..
& all it took is one person to make something out of nothing 🫠
I was even suggested to put it in the dining area… & if you’ve seen our cooker & the big flame …. O my liife! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😂
The supervisor was genuinely very nice though & just doing his job!

It is what it is fam.. at the end of the day we need to comply or we could lose our business.

Hangis are our top seller, so we don’t know what the coming weeks will look like for us..

We are allowed to make them in our approved area inside … but we can literally only fit like 12 in our oven… & there’s no way we’ll keep up with the numbers.
We will make what we can to try keep up with the Hangi pies.
&& for now we just need to come up with some alternatives.

WE ARE CLOSED TODAY!!
We have arranged a cleaning bee at work.
Just wanna change some things around & do some maintenance to make our days abit better & easier!

This week is the week we are closing night shift for one week

So Weds, Thurs & Friday we will be closing at 2:30pm - not 7:30pm
The rest of the days are as normal.
(Grill will be off at 2 each day & this weekend will be kiwi menu only)
