South West Community Foundation is proud to support the veterans of the Warrnambool RSL community.

Warrnambool RSL is the first organisation to access SWCF's new Community Charity Trust, a giving structure designed to support organisations delivering genuine charitable outcomes for our communities. It's a significant milestone, and a fitting one.

Our support is directed to the people at the heart of this organisation — the veterans and their families — not the commercial operations of the RSL itself. It's the welfare, the connection and the care for those who have served that we are proud to be part of.

The Warrnambool RSL committee works hard to ensure veterans and their families have access to essential support services and programs. Beyond that, these dedicated volunteers continue to raise funds for RSL Australia and host important community events that honour the spirit of remembrance across our region.

Veterans give so much in service to this country. We are proud to support the people and programs that make sure they are not forgotten.

We want to take a moment to appreciate this woman.
Carmel has been here at the RSL for 39years which means that if she leaves, we are
pretty sure the building will fall down.
For anyone who knows Carmel, you will know she walks everywhere and doesn’t own a
mobile phone, so that’s where her PA Pat (her mum) comes in and sends Carmel
running down the hill in her fancy sparkle shoes to help out.
There hasn’t been a time we can remember that she hasn’t been willing to roll up her
sleaves and jump in on a moment’s notice.
Thank you, Carmel for all your hard work over the years and please never leave us.

This week we celebrate the wonderful volunteers who give up so much of their time to support our community.

Warrnambool RSL would like to sincerely thank all our volunteers who are the backbone of the RSL. You generously give your valuable time to help with appeals, events, maintenance, welfare, and memorabilia. Without you, none of this would be possible.

ANZAC Day would never be the success it is without the dedication of our volunteers — from months of planning through to the day of the services themselves.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we are proud to announce that this year’s appeal raised an amazing $36,470.05.

A special shout out to Warrnambool Toyota and Legacy for volunteering their time and supporting us at dedicated selling locations throughout the community.

An even bigger thank you to the schools and businesses that hosted honesty boxes on their counters — your support means so much to us.

Thank you all for helping us continue to support veterans and their families.
