Over the past three weeks, we have been truly overwhelmed by the support, kindness and encouragement we have received from the wonderful communities of Warragul and Drouin, as well as from so many of our loyal regular customers and new faces.
Every booking.
Every familiar face walking through our doors.
Every “Welcome back!”
Every kind message and word of encouragement.
They have all meant more to us than you could ever imagine.
Seeing our restaurant full of laughter, families, friends and familiar faces again has been incredibly special. It reminds us why we love what we do and why Jade has always been more than just a restaurant to us — it is a place built around people, connection and community.

Huge thank you for your amazing support and for visiting us today! We’re incredibly thankful for the community backing our family-run restaurant after such a challenging time. We’re officially open and can’t wait to welcome everyone

👏 Three cheers for Pienna Duan and Jade Chinese Cuisine in Warragul who are reopening tonight.

The restaurant had to close and undergo renovations after the firebombing of a suspected illegal to***co shop next door back in June this year.

The impact on neighbouring small businesses has been incredibly unfair, and I spoke about this recently in my speech at the National Press Club.

This afternoon I stopped by to congratulate Pienna and her team, who have done an incredible job to reopen some 8 weeks later. And the restaurant looks absolutely terrific.

Whether it’s dinner sorted for tonight or popping by over the next few weeks, let’s give a great family-run, local small business our support.

Dear our valued customers, friends, and the Warragul community,
After more than a month of challenges, we are finally ready to welcome you back.
The past seven weeks have been a journey that we will never forget. Due to the unexpected fire incident, our restaurant had to temporarily close, bringing many difficulties and uncertainties. But throughout this challenging time, we were deeply touched by the kindness, patience, and support from everyone around us.

An Update from Jade Chinese Cuisine ❤️

To our valued customers,

Many of you may have seen the news about the fire at the neighbouring business in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Although Jade Chinese Cuisine was not involved in the fire, the emergency response and interruption to essential services have forced us to close temporarily.

We’re truly sorry to everyone who had planned to visit us.

The part that saddens us the most is seeing the fresh ingredients we had carefully prepared for service go to waste, knowing we couldn’t cook for the familiar faces we were looking forward to welcoming.

Instead of dwelling on the situation, we’re making the most of this unexpected break by giving our kitchen a thorough deep clean and refreshing parts of the restaurant, so we can welcome you back to an even cleaner and more comfortable dining experience.

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Warragul Police, CFA firefighters, Fire Rescue Victoria crews, and the electricians who worked through the freezing early morning hours to keep our community safe and restore essential services. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has checked in on us and sent kind messages. Your support means the world to our small family business.
