This is a beautiful community story of two years worth of “tip money” being exchanged for much needed essentials, donated to the Baw Baw Food Relief.

I wanted to make sure the relief got what they needed - a quick call established that they really needed shampoo, conditioner, sliced cheese and margarine. The tip money our customers generously left us has paid for this shopping trolley full of goods.

To the Stella's Pantry customers who left us a few cents here or there - you’ve helped those in need x

Team work really does make the dream work ✨

Books for cooks, right here at Stella’s.

We’ve worked closely with our good friend and shop neighbour Cor from Need2Read, and have sourced some interesting books for your kitchen. To be honest though? Cor did most of the work, and found some gorgeous titles for us!

From cheese bibles, pickling cookbooks and books to inspire your grazing table, we are pretty chuffed with the small range of books we have 📚

Two years ago, I fulfilled a little dream of mine, and got the keys to my very own cafe and deli - affectionately called “Stella’s”.

I could honestly write a book on all the things about owning a shop like this. There would be a whole chapter dedicated to fridges, and how great they are when they actually work 🫠

There would also be a chapter on the (unexpected) joy I have from meeting, and getting to know so many new people. The food community in Warragul is honestly so beautiful, supportive and inspiring. I never considered the relationships I’d build with customers, to the point where I have ‘shop kids’ who come and visit me with warm hugs and stories to tell. Thank you for continuing to choose Stella’s.

My team over the two years - the best. They ride the daily shop rollercoaster with me, and serve our community with the level of hospitality I craved for my own shop.

As a foodie at heart this is honestly a dream job (especially the no-nights part 😉). Yet my own boys know that the “no-nights” part is a lie, and they have wiped away more tears than I care to admit. My boys - my cheerleaders - have seen me fall, and have picked me back up every time. They deserve every free coffee and smoothie they get.

As my admiration for all cafe and restaurant owners grows, so does my desire to grow the food community around Stella’s. And I urge you - support us local businesses where you can. It means the world to us 💗

It was a no-brainer for us today to facilitate a donation of food by one of our customers.

Last minute cancellations can happen, but when sandwiches and other perishable foods are involved you have to think quick! A call to the and here we are, handing over some yummies.

And for our customer- we let them know where their (last minute) cancelled training lunch goodies went, and (because of the diversity of our biz) looked after their order so they aren’t fully out-of-pocket.

A big warm hearted win-win all round today!
