⛳ “Ellis Tinker” Mixed Foursomes

We had a fantastic turnout for the “Ellis Tinker” Mixed Foursomes on Sunday, October 18th! 33 pairs took to the course, making the absolute most of the ideal Spring weather.

Ellis Tinker (Tink) was a very likeable personality who spent countless hours volunteering his time not only at a club level but across West, East and South Gippsland regions. He was a devoted golfer who was also active in supporting and mentoring junior players including Davis Smith.

Ellis was awarded a life membership in 1976 and after his death in 1984, his family donated the perpetual trophy in 1985.

Congratulations to this year’s top performers:

1st Place: Corey Porter & Ammy Licata (66 net) 🏆
2nd Place: Annette Perry & Lenny Cole (70.125 net)
3rd Place: Cathy Jensen & visiting dad, John Dickins (70.25 net)

What a fantastic day of golf for the Women’s Foursomes Championships on Wednesday. Foursomes is always a true test of team spirit and strategy, and our field delivered some great performances across 27, 18, and 9 holes.

On Monday, 9th November, we’re inviting local golfers to test their skill, strength, and stamina by playing 4 rounds of golf in a single day to raise funds for lifesaving cancer research.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. By hosting this challenge, we’re giving our community a chance to hit the course for a cause that impacts thousands of families every year.
