After 36 years in the hair industry, taking the leap of faith to build Elysian Hair by Mel has been one of the biggest and most rewarding decisions of my life. The unwavering support from my loyal long-term clients, along with the many wonderful new faces I’ve had the privilege of welcoming, has meant more than words can ever express.
Today is also a deeply emotional day for me. Twelve months ago, I lost my hero—my dad. ❤️
Dad, my passion, determination and work ethic came from you. You taught me the value of showing up, working hard and always giving my best. I only wish you were here to celebrate this moment with me. I love you and miss you more than words can say.
Being selected as a finalist from more than 100 nominations across the Hunter Region is an incredible achievement and one I don’t take for granted.
