Didn’t win Eurovision but we had fun! 7.2 for Austria!

We learned Austria is landlocked, 60% of the country is covered by the Austrian Alps and Mum can’t cook potatoes!

Togo! Djenkoume and Togolese grilled chicken. Yum!

We learned French is the national language, it has a voodoo culture and we love charred chicken!

Syria hits top of the chart! Yummy Syrian chicken shawarma tonight. Not the national dish this time but a goodie!

What we learned:
Capital is Damascus
Currency is Syrian pound
The Syrian palate prizes tangy, sour, and smoky flavors

Garlic is good!

Time for Timor Leste!

We’re a bit late for this instalment- we were procrastinating another fish dish!

Finally a good score from Michael!

What we learned:

Timor Leste is only 400kms from Australia
Portuguese is one of only two national languages
The currency is US Dollar!

We finally got a country we were hoping for! But unfortunately we just didn’t like the sound of the National dish so went for an old classic, Beef Bourguignon- not realising the traditional recipe takes a very long time with multiple steps! Thanks to our guest reviewers Sue Paff and Peter Paff!

Bangladesh’s turn!!

What we learnt: The capital is Dhaka, known as the "Rickshaw Capital of the World". The official language is Bengali and there is a predominantly Muslim culture. Fish and rice are staples!
