As manufacturing has gotten smarter, nuggets have gotten dumber.

Someone needed to create a nugget that’s just like the ones we ate as kids, without the clever tricks that come out of food labs.

Here it is, and it’s gluten free.

Unhappy that cheap became normal.

Unhappy that somehow a chicken nugget containing f**k-all chicken was still called a chicken nugget.

So we made ours differently.

More chicken. Proper ingredients. Gluten free. Bloody delicious.

Not perfect.

Just better.

Some of you have been with us since the Low N Slow Meat Co days. You trusted us with your BBQ, your nuggets, and especially That BBQ Sauce. We built something real together.

But the food industry kept getting faker, louder, and full of bulls**t — and we weren’t about to stay quiet.

So here we are. UNHAPPY. Same no bulls**t attitude, same honesty, same obsession with food that’s actually worth eating — just louder, sharper, and built to shake things up.

Very sad to let you all know Low N Slow Meat co at Rivermakers is now permanently closed.

Many of you know we have faced plenty of challenges that have been out of our control since relocating from Tingalpa.

The decision to close has been made by us, we have not been forced to shut, but..

Any good BBQer will understand if you starve a fire from oxygen it will go out, unfortunately due to many factors out of our control the oxygen in our fire has been very limited and the fire is just about out, the passion has never left but it’s an impossible situation.

Low N Slow started 6 years ago in Tingalpa, it was a passion project that bought a love for great quality meat and live fire cooking together in the one spot. It changed the shape of butchers In general with many implementing a low n slow style into their operations, ultimately lifting the awareness of this style of cooking and eating for the greater good.

It’s been an awesome 6 years of Low N Slow Meat Co, from back in the early days in Tinglapa all the way until now. We have taught and hopefully improved hundreds of peoples BBQ skills and opened the door for many more to venture down the rabbit hole of BBQ.

Customer have become friends and experiences had that won’t be forgotten.

In the recent couple of years since being at Rivermakers, the Bulimba, Morningside and Hawthonre locals have been so supportive and we are appreciative of their patronage.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of the brand over the years, it has been loads of fun for all.

Do you have a memorable LNS storey, maybe you were at the grand opening party in Tingalpa 6 years ago, or attended a school of smoke, maybe you just enjoyed our unique products. In any case let’s keep this positive, drop your storey in the comments.

Get in today for our BBQ breakfast followed by BBQ lunch! You have to give this new menu a try, especially our brekkie burrito … Brisket Chilli Wrapped in a tortilla with Mac n Cheese, Scrambled Eggs and Mozzarella Cheese. All a go from 8:30m-10:30am - house made cold brew also available.
