What a way to start this new chapter ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came down and supported us during our opening week! From all of us at Uncle Shaks, Viet Eats & Cairo Eatery, we genuinely can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve shown our little community.

Thank you for keeping us busy, for being patient with us during the wait times, and for sticking with us while we found our feet in the new space. We appreciate every single one of you more than you know 🤍

After a very big week (as you can probably tell from the video 😂), Uncle Shaks will be taking Tuesday off this week only to restock, reset and get everything ready to go again.

Uncle Shaks — back Wednesday
Viet Eats — back Thursday
Cairo Eatery — back Thursday

Then it’s back to business as usual!

WE’RE MOVING! 👀🏠

Uncle Shak’s is officially getting a new home and of course, we couldn’t go anywhere without bringing some friends along for the ride. ❤️

Our long-time neighbours Viet Eats Underwood are coming with us, AND we’re so excited to welcome The Cairo Eatery to the crew!

📍 NEW LOCATION: 13 Ferguson Street, Underwood

Don’t worry, we haven’t gone far! Just a new spot, some new neighbours and the start of something even bigger.

We’re so excited to create a space where you can come down, grab your favourites, try something new and enjoy good food with an even better community.

Anyone who’s worked a counter, grill, or fryer knows exactly how this feels. You’ll be flat out in the middle of a rush, trying to get orders out, and someone’s calling “boss” every three seconds like it’s an emergency. They need your attention right now, they need to order right now, they can’t wait one second, and then the second you finally get to them, they haven’t even looked at the menu. That’s the part that gets us.
