Tasmanians are being invited to nominate their favourite pubs, cafes, bottle shops and live music venues for the Pulse Tasmania and Hospitality Tasmania People's Choice Award.

Nominations are open across five categories: Best Pub, Best Bottle Shop, Best Breakfast, Best Coffee and Best Live Music.

Steve Old, CEO of Hospitality Tasmania said the awards give locals a chance to back the venues and businesses they love most, from neighbourhood pubs to tucked-away cafes.

Voting opens on August 1, winners will be announced from September 25 to 29 and celebrations will finish at Mac02 on September 30 Tickets for the event can be purchased at https://bit.ly/HTawards26.

Casual Barista – Seventy Acres Café

Location Ulverston, TAS
Position: Casual (Approx. 20 hours per week)

Seventy Acres Café is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Barista to join our friendly team.

We're after someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café, takes pride in making great coffee, and provides excellent customer service.

What you'll be doing:

* Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages
* Providing friendly and efficient customer service
* Taking orders and operating the POS system
* Assisting with food service when required
* Keeping the café clean, organized, and well presented
* Working as part of a supportive team

What we're looking for:

* Previous barista experience (essential)
* Confident in dialing in coffee and maintaining consistency
* A positive attitude with strong customer service skills
* Reliable, punctual, and well presented
* Able to work weekdays and occasional weekends when required
* Able to work efficiently during busy service periods

What we offer:

* Approximately 20 hours per week
* A supportive and welcoming team environment
* Award wages
* Opportunity for additional hours during busy periods
* The chance to grow with a locally owned café
