We're looking for an enthusiastic Barista who is confident running a machine solo and wants to be part of a positive, supportive team, where everyone pitches in and has fun along the way.

What You'll Be Doing
• Crafting consistently great espresso-based coffee and beverages, working with Moonshine Coffee, Chai, Cacao & Matcha on a 2 group La Marzocco PB Linear/Puq Press setup
• Delivering friendly, genuine customer service with a smile
• Taking orders, handling payments (Square POS system) and keeping service running smoothly
• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked coffee station
• Assisting with opening and closing duties (as required)
• Supporting the team during busy service periods
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Helping create a welcoming café experience our customers will keep coming back for

About You
You'll fit right in if you:
• Have barista experience (1 year min.), are confident working under pressure during peak times
• Take pride in making quality coffee with consistency and care and you have some latte-art skills (doesn’t have to be swans 😉)
• Enjoy working in a team-focused environment
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Are reliable and organised
• Love connecting with people and providing great customer service

PSA 📢: Due to popular demand we are happy to announce that we are opening our kitchen on Tuesdays…from this Tues onwards! Full menu, cabinet food and all the delicious hot and cold drinks. Open 6:30am - kitchen/cafe closes 2pm. Thanks for your support - see ya Tuesday 🌈

BIG THANKS! & WINTER HOURS
We want to say a big thank you to all our beautiful and friendly regulars/locals who have supported us through the transition of new ownership. Your custom and loyalty is so appreciated, and it means we can continue doing what we love - serving you delicious food and drinks with a side of great banter. On a personal note - to everyone who has welcomed me to Uki, into the community and to this cafe - thank you. I feel deeply grateful and privileged to be here 🙏🏻✨🌿

We have a new menu and cabinet items including this divine chocolate cake (made in-house by Sarah) - if you haven’t been in yet, come by, we’re sure you’ll find something for everyone!

We are a community-focused café under new ownership, and we’re looking for a motivated Kitchen Hand / Kitchen Trainee to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in a supportive café environment and grow their skills while working closely with the owner and kitchen team.

You will become an important part of a small, friendly team that values teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude.

About the Role
This is a hands-on kitchen support role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with basic food prep & kitchen duties
• Washing dishes & maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Supporting chefs during busy service periods
• Assisting with stock rotation and unpacking deliveries
• Maintaining food safety & hygiene standards
• Helping keep the kitchen organised & running smoothly
• Learning café kitchen operations & food prep skills

About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and enjoys being part of an upbeat and caring team culture.
You will ideally have:
• A positive attitude & willingness to learn
• Good communication & teamwork skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness & organisation
• Reliability & a good work ethic
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential

Exciting changes are happening at your local Cafe - Village & Co.
As you may be aware, the cafe has recently changed hands and we are happy to announce that from Tuesday 28th April we will be extending our hours from 6.30am - 1.30pm every Tuesday, serving delicious wholesome Cabinet food and ultimate barista brews from our new coffee roaster, Moonshine Coffee (roasted locally in Billinudgel).

We will be offering breakfast delights, healthy snacks and gourmet cakes & slices, such as this delicious offering from our talented local baker Sarah - a Chai-spiced Carrot Cake with Orange-zest cream cheese icing.

Our new hours are Tuesdays from 6.30am till 1.30pm, Cabinet food and warming beverages, then continuing with a full menu Weds - Sun 6.30am - 3:00pm.

We have lots of exciting news to come and we really appreciate your support and patience. We are super grateful to all our local regulars, as well as the visitors passing through. We look forward to serving you and bringing nutritious and delicious food to our village.
