🎉 $2,378.46 RAISED FOR OUR KIDS! 🎉

Our Tu-Tu Day brought plenty of colour, laughter and a few surprises for our guests—all while supporting an incredible local cause.

Together, we raised $2,378.46 for Our Kids, taking South Tweed Sports Club’s total support for Our Kids in 2026 to more than $10,000! 💛

Our Kids helps provide vital medical equipment and support for children receiving care at Lismore Base Hospital, Tweed Hospital and Grafton Hospital. Lismore Base Hospital alone cares for more than 10,000 children each year, helping local children receive the medical care they need as close to home as possible.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and management team, Steve Read, Nev and Marliene from the Tweed Fishing Club for helping make the day such a success.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible members and guests who purchased Tu-Tu's and supported both the Friday Fishos Raffles and our raffle hamper. Every Tu-Tu and raffle ticket contributed to this fantastic result.

Celebrating 20 Years of Continuous Service

Congratulations to our Head Chef, Marc Tuddenham, who has achieved the remarkable milestone of 20 years of continuous service at South Tweed Sports Club.

Marc also completed approximately nine years and seven months with the Club earlier in his career before taking a three-year break. Altogether, Marc has given almost 30 years of service to South Tweed Sports Club an extraordinary contribution to our Club, our members and our community.

Throughout his time with us, Marc has shared an incredible depth of knowledge, leadership and culinary expertise. He has built a fantastic, supportive and hardworking kitchen team that consistently produces quality meals for thousands of members and guests each week.

To put the scale of Marc’s contribution into perspective, annually Marc’s kitchen would produce approximately 118,000 meals and food items. Across 20 years, that equates to more than 2.3 million items—including an estimated 200,000 schnitzels and parmigianas, 184,000 steaks and 374,000 members meals.

While menus, trading levels and the Club itself have changed enormously over that time, these figures provide a wonderful indication of the scale of Marc’s contribution and the countless members, guests, families and community groups he has helped look after.

Marc’s contribution extends well beyond the meals leaving the kitchen. He has helped guide the Club through busy Christmas celebrations, Melbourne Cups, Father’s Days, special events, changing menus and many challenging service periods. He continues to be a hands-on leader, mentor and source of support for his team, generously passing on the knowledge and experience he has built throughout his career.

On behalf of the Board, management team, staff, members and guests of South Tweed Sports Club, we sincerely thank Marc for his loyalty, commitment and outstanding service.

Congratulations, Marc, on 20 years of continuous service and almost 30 years as part of the South Tweed Sports Club family. It is an achievement of which you should be incredibly proud and one for which the entire Club is deeply grateful

It’s all about having a bit of fun while supporting a fantastic local cause — and we’d love our members and guests to get involved.
