Our 45th Tumut Open is fastly approaching!

Saturday - golfers are encouraged to book their tee times, if you need assistance please call the Club.

Sunday - golfers are to contact to Club to book in, we will then book you in. Hole you play off and group will be determined by the match committee.
Tee off time is a sh***un 10am, second sh***un 10.10am (depending of numbers etc)

⛳ TUMUT GOLF CLUB – WEEKLY GOLF REPORT

It was another busy week at Tumut Golf Club, with plenty of great golf across our weekly competitions, the Seniors continuing the Reg Crampton Championship, and a fantastic turnout for Sunday’s medley. Congratulations to all our winners and placegetters!

🏌️ Midweek Stableford – 12 October

Our weekly Midweek Stableford competition got underway with Archie Southwell leading the way with an excellent 40 points. Colin Duncan finished runner-up with 38 points, while Kerry Ellison claimed third place with 36 points on a countback.

Peter Linnegar finished with 36 points, followed by Matthew Dehnert with 35. Kylie Sanderson carded 34 points, while Darryl Ryan and Brian Toole both finished with 33, with Ryan taking the countback. Craig McKenzie rounded out the placegetters with 32 points.

🏆 Tuesday Seniors – Reg Crampton Championship, Round 2

The Seniors were back on the course for the second round of the Reg Crampton Championship, with 33 players taking part.

Keith Cooper led the day’s Nett results with 29, followed by Peter McCarthy with 30. Matt Downing and Brian Toole both returned 31, while Mick O’Donovan, Brian Hughes, Bill Hughes, Peter Wren and Peter Halpin all recorded 32.

Nearest to Pin:
• 9th – Darryl Ryan, 1.73m

☀️ Daylight Savings B9 Stableford (White Tees)

The Daylight Savings competition attracted 44 players, with Joshua Ireland taking the win with 22 points, narrowly ahead of Ryan Annetts on 21.
Matthew Dehnert and Jeremiah Freeman both finished with 20 points, with Dehnert taking third place on a countback.

Flynn Piper-Bye also recorded 20 points, while Mitchell Schaffer and Benjamin Gaul finished with 19. Tim Wall, Travis Curnow and Tane Flavell were among the next group of placegetters, all returning 18 points.

🐔 Thursday Chook Run – F9 Stableford

The popular Chook Run attracted 42 players for the front-nine Stableford competition.
Mick O’Donovan took the win with 20 points, while Peter Webb and Benjamin Gaul both recorded 19, with Webb securing second place on a countback. Ted Clarke and Kylie Sanderson also finished with 19 points. William Jamieson and Louie Mulvihill both recorded 18 points, while Mick Piper and Jordan Neill rounded out the top ten with 17 points each.

Nearest to Pin:
• 9th – Matthew Dehnert, 6.30m

🏌️ Sunday Medley Stableford

Sunday saw a fantastic field of 45 players, with Chris Bradley producing the round of the day to take the win with an outstanding 45 points. Bradley Porteous finished runner-up with 41, while Jack Stewart claimed third place with 40 points.

Karen Webb followed with 37 points. Ben Wysman, Neil Bye, Clayton Denson and Dean McDonald all finished with 36 points, with Wysman taking fifth place on a countback. Trevor Masters and Jan Gustafsson also recorded 36 points, while William Hughes, Geoff Brain, Lawrence Larder, Ivy Crawford and Wayne Jones all finished with 35.

• 4th – Louie Mulvihill, 5.60m
• 4th – Stephen Gooley, 7.10m (white tees)
• 9th – Keith Cooper, 3.75m (white tees)
• 17th – Neil Bye, 1.11m

✨🏌️‍♂️ Junior Golfers 🏌️‍♂️✨

Geoff Brain has been doing some amazing things for our lucky junior golfers. Not only does he run FREE junior golf clinics every Sunday morning, but he also found the time to take a few of our older junior golfers to Concord Golf Club in Sydney.

Mason Adams, Archie Southwell & David Wang, all were lucky enough to get some tips and tricks off Ken Trimble, a member of the PGA, who now coaches juniors.

Ken won two tour events during his 10 year international playing career and has been a mentor to two world champion students during his 24 years as a golf coach.

The boys had an absolute blast and are welcomed back anytime to Concord.

A huge thank you to Geoff Brain for all he does, for our junior golfers.
