I am a proud Rotarian!

Not only am I proud to be a Rotarian but I am proud to be able to make cakes over the years I have been a Rotarian. This year we also celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Rotary Op Shop.

Congratulations to Werribee Rotary for 58 glorious years and the Werribee Rotary Op Shop for completing 20 successful years.

What does a private chef lunch for eight look like?

It begins with golden mushroom and garlic bruschetta, sticky teriyaki chicken skewers and Cajun-spiced beef meatballs.

Then comes chargrilled steak with roasted vegetables and mushroom gravy, alongside Moroccan lamb cutlets, mint yoghurt and a colourful kale slaw.

And because one dessert simply wasn’t enough…

Rasmalai mousse with pistachios and rose petals, followed by vanilla bean cheesecake with whipped cream, raspberries and dark chocolate.

From AI concept… to cake reality. ✨

When I first imagined this safari cake, I asked AI to help me visualise the idea. Then came the real challenge… bringing it to life with cake, buttercream, acrylic, lights, sugar and a lot of patience!

No prompt can replace the hands of a cake artist. AI can inspire the vision, but it’s still up to us to solve the engineering, create the textures and turn an idea into something people can gather around and celebrate.

One of my earliest sculpted cakes has been hiding in my photo album. I gave this little Westie a fresh new background with a touch of AI, but the cake is exactly as I made it all those years ago.

I think it might be time for a remake. ❤️
