It’s the Final Countdown!
I can’t believe this chapter is nearly over. After a whirlwind two years in Townsville, it’s time to start saying goodbye.
I’ll admit I wasn’t thrilled when we were first posted here, but it was a fantastic opportunity for my partner, and I was happy to support his career. I knew I’d need to take a sidestep from my career path and I was ready for a new challenge. What followed was a fun, outrageous, and thoroughly rewarding café adventure. I learned so much — about myself, about running a business, and about flexibility and acceptance. There’s so much in life that’s unpredictable and out of our control; this journey taught me to do my best, let go of outcomes, and live in the moment. It was challenging, exhausting, and deeply fulfilling.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. I’ve loved every bit of it, and I’m ready to say goodbye to the beautiful space we created together. While I won’t miss the humidity and the pressures of being a small business owner, I’ll always remember North Queensland with fondness.
