As all of you know Jace and I (Scott) work very long hours🕛 day in🌄 and day out🌃, we love doing what we do and previding the services💜 we do and most of you would have noticed us at the show🎪 this week....

😮WOW that was CrAzY🤪

As a small reward🏆 to Ourselves and to PREVENT🔥 Burn Out, we will be taking some very much needed R.N.R or as i like to say sleep time😴💤💤💤.

Confection Obsession🍭 will be ready to reopen our doors🚪 Friday at 10am to 1130pm.

What an amazing time of year, the Wether🌞 is turning it on all around🥰 us, we have the Townsville Show🎪this weekend and then followed by the V8s🏎.

We will have our very first🥇 full pop up shop🛍 at the Show just before Show Bag Alley,
We are so Stoked up with so many yummy sweets🍭 and so many we have not have been out of stock of for some time.

☕💜 What a fantastic morning at Confection Obsession!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful Women Veterans Catch-Up, bringing together women veterans, family members, supporters, community members and local organisations for a morning of connection, conversation and plenty of coffee.

A special thank you to Natalie Marr MP for generously sponsoring the cuppas for the group and helping make the morning even more enjoyable for everyone who attended. Your ongoing support of veterans and the local community is greatly appreciated.

One of the things we love most about Confection Obsession is seeing people, some who have never met before, come together in a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable, valued and supported. The friendships, laughter and genuine connections made around our tables today were a reminder of just how important community is.

Whether you’re a community group, support organisation, social club, sporting team or simply a group of friends looking for a place to gather, we’d love to welcome you.

A huge thank you to Ramon and everyone who joined us today and helped create such a warm and positive atmosphere. We look forward to seeing many of you again soon.

🎉🎉12 months ago we started moving into the Flinders Street location🎉🎉 What a year it's been🥴
We've learned a lot about business in this time🧠, yet know we are only scraping the surface. A lot has changed, and more changes are coming👌

I'd like to say a massive thank you 🙏 to all of you for everything over the last year and even two and a half years since we started🗓Two and a half years ago we met many of you for the first time and still see you today which we deeply appreciate🤝
Many of you we met 6 months ago and still see you on an every other day basis as we add more and more to our offerings🫶

We've learned to crawl, now we are going to jump right into running with a new menu dropping soon with waffles and some other goodies that we think you'll love and is seriously worth the drive plus parking and maybe a bit of a walk from the car park if its a busy day. 🤤🤤We've got our heads wrapped around production🍭 - now just need to get to it as we finish off a bunch of ongoing admin, set up and research and all that boring stuff🙄
Not only that but liquor licensing is well on its way and the application is in so. There's that. Even though we aren't really sure what to do with it when we get it yet🤷‍♂️

📣📣On that note. I do feel it's important to parrot what every other small business is saying with a tiny glimmer of hope that the government will listen to us. This little celebration and milestone is overshadowed by a looming sense of dread and contemplation of what might be coming for every industry we cross over into, every Aussie citizen around the country and how to tackle these challenges. From tightening home budgets to overheads going up and changes way out of our control that have already begun or are coming - things that affect us in every way down to packaging pricing and availability.

All small business owners are worried. We are harder and harder pressed every year... But we will keep showing up as long as you do. You keep our families fed and that's enough for any one of us. We will continue doing what we love and giving you the products and environment you love as long as you show up and you do still. You've seen the good and the bad - i don't hide it well. You've been there to share laughs and words of encouragement when my face just can't hide the problems.

We own our business and can take what we need to live comfortably enough, but in talking to more people we realise how good we have it here. We aren't rolling in cash by any means, but we didn't realise how many out there are working as hard and long, if not even more, just to have a roof over their head and eat. We feel you. We've been there. We still walk a very thin wire here. That is the nature of the industry we are in. We're still with you now and are committed to keeping low cost, high value items available in a delightful, casual environment with free AC and WiFi.
It's for times like these that Confection Obsession was created📣📣
