I made this cake ONE DAY after surgery.
And honestly… I’m still not sure how I did it.
A little post-op cake catch-up.
It’s been a very different few weeks behind the scenes at the cake kitchen!
I’ve been slowly working my way through some beautiful orders following surgery, and I wanted to share a few of the creations I managed to bring to life especially this Marvel two-tier cake.
This one holds a pretty special place in my heart because I made it just ONE day after surgery. And while I absolutely loved how it turned out, I won’t lie… it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done as a business owner.
Unfortunately, when you run your own little business, sick days aren’t really a thing when unexpected health issues arrive. There are still orders to make, messages to answer and people counting on you, even when you’re not quite feeling like yourself.
That’s why I am SO incredibly grateful for my amazing clients, Yes YOU GUYS! 🥹😭
Thank you for being patient, understanding and, most importantly, for continuing to trust me to create something magical for your special moments even when I’m doing it in whatever state I happen to be in!
I’m officially 3 weeks post-op now and thankfully feeling more and more like myself every day. I’m almost back to where I was, and I cannot wait to get fully back into the swing of things. 🥰
