Francesco's Osteria is a family run south Australian business specialising in authentic "Cicchetti": tapas style Venetian street food and "Cucina Povera": age old recipes typically cooked with simple local ingredients which were originally eaten by the poor but now enjoyed by everyone. cesco, owners and operators of Francesco's Cicchetti, a successful vegan vegetarian food business of four years retailing at Plant 4 Bowden markets and events such as Womadelaide and the Fringe festival. They have a passion for unprocessed whole foods, making everything from scratch and sourcing the freshest local and sustainable and where possible organic ingredients from around South Australia. All dishes are traditionally handmade using classic Italian recipes creating a special kind of Venetian Soul Food. Our dinner and events menu will include special Venetian recipes handed down from Francesco's mother with an emphasis on locally sourced vegetables, cheeses and sustainable Fleurieu Peninsula seafood. We also offer catering for events.
