Gee I love photographing spices.

The colours. The textures. The incredible diversity.

Deep reds, brilliant turmeric yellow, peppercorns, cardamom, dried chillies... even before you taste anything, your senses are already working overtime.

And then there’s the smell...did you just inhale deeply?

Photographs can’t actually capture that part... but if I’ve done my job well, hopefully your brain fills in the gap. 😋

That’s what I love about food photography. Creating an image that makes you imagine the taste, the aroma and the experience.
