Another Before & After

We now have a complete Dining Room for everyone to enjoy their lunch & dinner in one spot!

Our walls are covered in beautiful black & white photography gifted to us from the White family taken by Richard White, an extremely close and loved family friend.

You’ll notice that a lot of the photos from Richard are from Tolmie and the surrounding areas so make sure to have a look while you’re in to really take in the beautiful views our home gives us.

You may also notice a few photo realism grey lead drawings that were drawn by Chris. These drawings took anywhere between 60-100 hours for each drawing. He’s definitely no one trick pony!

We love the high country and know how much our home deserves to be highlighted. Seeing Tolmie and the surrounding areas every day we’re at the pub is a gift and we enjoy seeing everyone take the time to walk around the venue and take the art in.

Our first weekend open was a huge success full of love, excitement and support.

Thankyou to the over 350 people who showed up for us this weekend to support their local and those passing through their new favourite place to stop.

We poured shots, began shaking cocktails, opened up our free pool table, had the footy on the TV and started a new menu.

Also a special shout out to our most amazing staff who stepped up when we needed them to. Couldn’t have done it without them.

We can’t wait to see you this weekend! 🏉🏟️

It was all smiles for our soft opening on Sunday and first official day yesterday.

Thankyou again to everyone for rallying behind us and supporting us on our first week of opening. It’s definitely been an exciting change for us as a family and for the Tolmie community. We can’t wait to continue seeing your friendly faces in the venue.

The time you’ve all been waiting for is finally here!

We’re so excited to announce that the Tolmie Tavern will be reopening next Thursday the 17th of September.

Please DM or email [email protected] to secure a table. Our booking system will be open very soon!

Walk ins are always welcome however we do recommend that you book to ensure that there’s a table waiting for you!

Opening Hours:
Thursday - 11:30am until 10pm
Friday - 11:30am until late
Saturday - 11:30am until late
Sunday - 11:30am until 10pm

Kitchen Hours:
Lunch - 11:30am - 2pm
Dinner - 5:30pm - 8pm
Snack available all day

We just want to say thank you for everyone’s kind words over the last few weeks. We truly can’t believe the amount of love and support that’s come from our family, friends and the community as we begin this journey.

We’re very aware that everyone is just as keen as we are to open, however due to liquor licensing taking its time, we do have to stay closed for that little bit longer. If you drive past, everyday you will see a few cars out the front with us (and of course our lovely tradies and friends) inside working away and creating a special space for our locals and visitors to come and relax, eat and drink which you all deserve.

Please know that as soon as we know we can open, you will know too!

We’re keen to share more about everything that we’ve done inside but just know it’s not just a facelift! A lot has been improved while keeping the high country charm we all know and love. Our new beginning.

Make sure to ask us about it when our doors are open because everyone knows the Southgate’s love a chat.

We cannot wait to see your friendly faces at the Tolmie Tavern.
