Very exciting update on the transition to the 'Bake Shop' ☕🍰
Thank you for the huge response surrounding the announcement last Friday! Such lovely comments and well wishes. I feel incredibly grateful for the support you’ve all shown. As this is as much community as it is business I know there are many questions. So to save on speculation, I thought I’d jump on here and try to answer some of them for you..
Handover..
From January 1st B Sweet will officially have the keys to our new headquarters. Through January I’ll be spending this time moving equipment from my home kitchen and setting up my new work space ready for work to commence February 1st. From here I’ll be filling orders as per usual while the shop front remains closed for renovations.
Cake pick ups will be from the second side kitchen door where you’ll find me most days. If you’d like to pop in for a chat about an order feel free to call in when I’m there!
Reno’s
Without giving too much away, the space will be given a face lift to reflect the style and personality behind the brand. A space where I hope will become a local ‘hub’ for the community and a little hidden gem for travellers!
Opening date
The biggest question of them all and one I can’t answer just yet. However, please trust I’ll be swinging those doors open as soon as I can!
Updates will be given a little down the track once work commences.
Employment
I will be looking for a few stand out people with a kick ass attitude to join this vibrant growing business. The new bake shop will create an opening for at least one or two front of house positions and at least one other baking enthusiast to work alongside myself. These opportunities will be presented in more detail down the track.
