We welcome you to join us for our final week at Schoolhouse Thornton.
On Sunday we say goodbye for now, to the friends we made and hold onto the memories.
Champagne will be flowing and I am sure a few tears will be too. 💕
Schoolhouse was meant to be simple, to create amazing homemade products (never bought in a box) and to serve beautiful coffee (weighed out every time) and to honour the local produce we are surrounded by.
We fulfilled our dream here, time to follow new dreams ✨️

We achieved what we set out to do, put smiles on faces, food in bellies and coffee in veins.
Everything was made with love from scratch right here in the tiny bakehouse, for a small town, a community, holiday makers, travellers and club members.
We started off with one baker and one coffee maker and slowly built up our team, our family and we lived our dreams together.
Although not for a long time, we certainly had a good time.
We rode the waves of hospitality,  the good, the bad, and the ugly times together.
It's now time for us to make room for new dreams, new adventures, for love, for travel, for living our life.
We thank our family and friends of schoolhouse for all your love and support.
With pride we turn the page of this chapter and ready to start another.
We welcome you to come in for your last Schoolhouse all time favourites, and of course Hopes amazing coffee as we call it a wrap in the coming weeks
Happy days ahead  💚

On a personal note I want to extend my gratitude to my Staff, each and every one of you was an asset to the Schoolhouse family and we will dearly miss you all!
To David and Sonya, I will be forever grateful for you having trusted me with Schoolhouse, without you I wouldn't have had this opportunity.
And lastly to Hope, you helped me fulfil a life long dream! You walked beside me every step of the way ❤

Mothers Day is soon approaching and here at Schoolhouse we want to offer you two unique packages. Join us in celebrating all the beautiful mother’s in our lives, for a beautiful high tea dining experience or a beautiful package to be enjoyed at home.
We are hosting Mothers Day High Tea here at Schoolhouse Thornton. High Tea is available for Sunday 12th May for a 12pm seating.
We do have limited seating so
bookings are essential. Pricing is $85 per person.
As a second option, if you don’t feel like leaving the house this Mother’s Day, or maybe you feel like celebrating outside, in a park or even down by the beach - we are offering a take home picnic basket option. This includes a picnic basket, picnic blanket, bottle of sparkling wine and a charcuterie board to serve up to 4 people. Pricing is $150.

On the 13th of January marks our 1 YEAR BIRTHDAY
12 months, 365 days, 8760 hours and 525600 minutes!
Words cannot describe how proud I am that we made it here. The challenges of small business and hospitality have tested us but we kept getting up at 4am to give it another go, another day, another week.
I am forever grateful for this opportunity, to be trusted with Schoolhouse, to have been supported and believed in, gave me strength to make this happen.
To our amazing customers, lovers of Schoolhouse we thank you today and everyday ❤️ without you there is no Schoolhouse
To my staff, I love you all, your hard work and dedication makes this dream come true.
To Eden and Paige your encouragement and support through the high and lows to look for the rainbows 🌈 and to wipe away the tears
And lastly to HOPE you are one amazing daughter! You gave up your year to support me, my vision wholeheartedly 🙏
We were always meant to do this together.

A small production kitchen working away tirelessly to keep up with custom cakes, wholesale items and cafe favourites in our tiny bakehouse. So if your favourite item is not in sight be sure that we are in the process of making, stirring, chopping and baking it just for you! 🧡
