We are writing to inform you that CRISPYS @ THIRLMERE has been SOLD. (Contracts signed Monday).
Our last trading day will be this Saturday (10th May, 2025).🍔🥓🍳🍟
We want to sincerely thank, all our customers so very very much, for all your support and patronage over the last five years.
Thirlmere is family to us. ###
Over this time we have made some amazing friends and memories that will last a lifetime!
We, shared some very sad times, with the passing of our mum and sister. We shared the miracle of our daughter, successfully having a transplant. We saw our grandson, grow from a newborn to now going to big school. We survived COVID.
We will miss our first class view to the beautiful old steam trains. Thank you to all the train museum staff and volunteers (who keep these beautiful machines running).
We are very proud and honoured to have won two awards, for outstanding takeaway in Wollondilly. Best potato scallops in MacArthur (radio C91.3).
Dave worked so very hard, continuing Vicki and Theo’s tradition of hand making, the scallops, fish cocktails, Battered Savs, and seafood sticks.
Thank you Dave (Porky) your hard work was so greatly appreciated.
To our neighbouring shops, your welcome, kindness and support to us is outstanding and never wavers. Please support, whenever possible, these local amazing small businesses, around Thirlmere. They are wonderful people who work extremely hard. To the zoo, our unofficial customer (& Dave😂) waiting room. How long is the wait 1 schooner or 2??
Thank you to Vicki and Theo, who gave us their trust, support allowing Dave to follow his dream and take over their beloved old school takeaway. With Theo meticulously training Dave, May Theo RIP. Forever grateful.
Most importantly of all, thank you to all our staff, who worked so very hard, through the heat, the queues, the laughs and the meltdowns (mostly Dave’s 😂) We love you and could not have done it without you. To proudly see, some of our young staff now with successful careers, you made us so very proud. Also to our family and friends who were dragged in (sometimes kicking & screaming) to help, when we were short staffed! You love us 😂🥰 and we love you.
We wish the new owners every success and hope they love the shop as much as we do/did 😩.
We hope to see you all, when we are not behind the counter, with flour and oil stains on our clothes 😁😍.
