Lokma-nia’s mixed heritage from Albania, Bosnia and Turkey gives him the natural ability to make delicious sweets. Grandfather Lokma-nia used to be a very well-known confectioner in the beautiful city of Eskisehir. d its origins go back to the Ottoman Empire. Lokma which means ‘mouthful’ in Turkish is a deep fried dough soaked typically in syrup, honey or cinnamon. Turkish Lokma stays crispy all day ! It is consumed either warm or cooled while maintaining its crispness and softness all day. Speciality of Turkish Lokma lies under having a properly cooked doughnut , while maintaining its crispiness without doughish texture inside even when it’s cold ; which makes it original like back in old days ! As a matter of fact it is much more crispy when it is cold. Lokma is a popular Street food in Turkey. Another tradition that is common in Turkey is the serving of Lokma after a funeral to the attendees. Lokma-nia aims to be the new craze of Turkish Street food in Sydney.
