Today is the last day of our unbelievable week at Norwest Marketown. ❤️
And honestly… what a week it has been.
This week challenged us in ways I never expected. The thing that scared me the most? Those empty shelves.
Almost every night, I stayed up until 3 or 4am making little goodies for the next day, then rushed back early in the morning to restock. Some days I would race home before noon, prepare more, rush back… only to find the shelves empty again!
Every single day meant baking cupcakes, making our much-loved Red Velvet tubs, packing boxes and trying our best to keep up. It was exhausting, but today, all I feel is gratitude. ❤️
Seeing so many of our lovely customers return again and again has been the most beautiful part. Some are already telling us how sad they are that today is our last day. Those moments mean more than you know.
A huge thanks to my husband, the father of my children and one of the directors of Dessert Rose Pty Ltd, who took the entire week off from work to stand beside me. Neither of us had much experience with on-the-spot selling, especially during crazy busy hours, but we made it through together — supporting each other every step of the way.
And my beautiful friend Ayesha — thank you for looking after my daughter and supporting our family in so many ways. I feel incredibly blessed to have a friend who gives unconditional love and support through her actions. ❤️
Behind every small business are sleepless nights, tired feet, rushed mornings and moments of doubt. But there are also beautiful people, family, friendship, kindness and love. And that makes everything worthwhile.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who visited, purchased, returned, shared, encouraged and supported us.
You made this week unforgettable.
Our shelves may have been empty many times… but our hearts have never been fuller. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Dessert Rose 🌹
