The Gap State School P&C The Gap State School Parents & Citizen's Association operates the Silky Oak Cafe (next to the MPB)

The Gap State School P&C will consult with and support our school community to build relationships, have honest discussions, engage and promote the P&C at every opportunity and look beyond the school gates with respect to how we consider working together in our community. We want the school community of The Gap State School to be a great place to belong to.

A big thank you to Jess who will be finishing up at the Tuckshop this term. Running the tuckshop is a huge job, and we have been so lucky to have such a wonderful Tuckshop Convenor. I am sure many of us have a story of Jess's kindness and spirit, or a favourite menu item that our children have waited for each week.

Our Music Supporters’ Group plays an important role in supporting the school’s classroom, instrumental and choral music programs.

We’d love to welcome more families—there are lots of ways to help, big or small, and you don’t have to attend every meeting!

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate all the amazing dads, step-dads, grandads, uncles, big brothers and father figures who bring so much love, support and encouragement to our families — and, of course, keep us smiling (or groaning!) with their legendary dad jokes. 😄

We also remember those who are no longer with us, but who remain forever in our hearts. 💐

From our P&C family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day filled with love, laughter, special moments and at least one truly terrible dad joke! 🤣

The Father's Day Stall is today! Volunteers still needed!

Its almost time to say thanks to all the dad's and grandad's in our lives. So please send some cash with your kids today. Gifts range from $1-$15, there should be something for everyone! Cash only.

The Gap State School P&C Association is seeking an organised, community-minded Tuckshop Convenor and Assistant to manage the day-to-day running of our school tuckshop.

The convenor role oversees food ordering, menu planning, stock control, volunteers, food safety, and cash handling, while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming tuckshop for students and staff.

Previous tuckshop experience is preferred but not essential, and a positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service are key.

Come and join our wonderful school community. Opportunity to join the tuckshop immediately to receive full training prior to beginning a manager role during the mid-term break between Term 3 and 4.

Roles available for immediate start:
Tuckshop Convenor (up to 16.5 hours per week - Tuesday to Friday)
Tuckshop Assistant (6 hours per week - Thursday and Friday)
